I am late with this post because I was at the Fit Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center. We got lots of free stuff, including the entrance tickets. Our kids loved the Nestlé booth the best because they were giving out free bottles of chocolate milk. My husband got a free shirt for doing 12 pull-ups. My son got a free jump rope for doing 5. We tried walking on the slack line which is like a tight rope. I thought it would be easy, but I fell off. Those circus performers make it look so easy. I have a new respect for them. We spent several hours at the expo. It was a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be. I wanted to join the Zumba class, but I was too busy looking at the booths.
I got a little further along with my picture book this week. I have 2 more drawings to do before I review the whole thing and add the text. I'm excited.
I finished another sketchbook this week. I lost count of how many I've completed this year, but I think they are all ones that I started years ago. The one I finished this week was started in 2006. In this sketchbook are drawings of our son when he was 2 weeks old.
I'm exciting to be starting a new sketchbook. My sister-in-law gave it to me around 4 years ago. That's how long it takes me to get through sketchbooks.
I learned a lesson this week. That is, Don't post birthday cards prematurely. My friend, Lisa, saw her birthday card on this blog before she received it in the mail. I didn't think she was going to look at my blog, but she was showing it to her son and happened to see the birthday card I made for her. D'oh!
What are you celebrating?
