Celebrate The Small Things - July 25

This week, I dropped a glass and cut my knee trying to pick up the tiny shards. The upside of this is that the dessert that was in the glass previously was made by me and turned out pretty good even though I messed up the recipe.

Also, I had to help a guy who was about to collapse in the parking lot of my gym. I was at the open trunk of my car and thought he was going to try to grab me at first, but he needed me to call 911. I ran back in the building to have them call from a land line which would get paramedics out there faster than calling from a cell phone. He hadn't eaten for 6 hours and had coffee and a pre-workout shake before starting his workout. That probably stimulated his heart. He did a few pull-ups and got light-headed. He must've gone outside to get some fresh air which is where he found me. The upside is he's okay now.

I'm also celebrating resolved issues at the gym, finishing a book called Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay, and editing 5 chapters of my middle grade book.

Now, if I can manage to finish editing 2 more chapters today I will be celebrating even more because I will be done with editing the whole book. I thought I was done with the book a month ago, but I went over it again to improve on it even more. My next step is to continue my search for a literary agent.

I loved reading the book, Sarah's Key and even shed a few tears. I haven't been reading much in the past couple of months. It's nice to get back into it again. I've always had an interest in the Holocaust and I'm an American who has lived in France, so this book was very interesting to me. It seemed a bit long, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

I'm looking forward to a family get-together this weekend as my relatives are visiting from Hawaii. It will be hot, so taking a dip in the pool will be refreshing. Yesterday, I got in my car and the temperature read 105. I'm not celebrating temperatures that high, but I had enough to celebrate this week.

Celebrate The Small Things - July 18

It has been a very upsetting and stressful week and I'm celebrating the fact that it is over!

Here is a drawing that I managed to do before the week is over as well:
